Kia ora, I’m Adrianna

I was about 11 years old when I wandered into a Strathmore hoko shop in Wellington and found a pair of yellow and red striped tights.

My eyes beamed! I remember pairing them with a green turtleneck knit, denim jacket, and white leather purse. Looking back, that outfit was pure chaos. Haha. But I thought it was the best!

More than just finding a slightly questionable outfit that day, I had unknowingly discovered my love for fashion and the thrill of uncovering hidden gems in these little shops. I was hooked.

Over time, I found myself op-shopping whenever I could, which naturally sparked an interest in sewing and upcycling and eventually I ventured to Tauranga to study a Bachelor of Fashion Design.

When I came across so many incredible resale pages on Instagram in 2022, I felt inspired to do the same! Cue 2023 and Moumou Thrift was born.

Today, I share my passion through curated, story-filled collections, released here every second Monday at 6:00pm. It’s always a mixed bag but I love offering you colour, pattern, texture, quirk, and Moumou Made pieces too.

Above all, fashion (and anything creative) has always been my go-to for a boost of confidence and a safe space for expression. I hope my pakihi of thrifted finds and handmade pieces does the same for you.
